Our mission at Rearden Commerce is to turn the web into a personal assistant and bring users the services, information and tools they need based on their identity, the context of what they're doing, and their immediate location and connection to the network.
The Rearden Personal Assistant was also built to simplify people's lives, so it features an easy-to-use, highly intuitive user interface developed through extensive user research. Its foundation is an event-driven, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), which allows the rapid orchestration of applications that are standards-based, distributed, flexible and secure. The platform runs in our data center and consists of:
- A robust services on-demand infrastructure that includes the hardware and software required to support high-performance, configurable and extensible platform services. This standards-based infrastructure manages the complexities of delivering scalability, caching, transaction management, asynchronous communication and guaranteed message delivery.
- A rich portfolio of platform services with elements of business logic that can be reused across different applications, have well-defined interfaces and can be remotely managed, monitored and instrumented.
- A set of sophisticated interfaces and services development tools defined to accelerate the development of new services and applications. New applications can reuse existing platform services and/or use new services created by Rearden Commerce or third-party developers. Tools include visual aids for automatic code generation, user interface templates and tags, dynamic orchestration of services and others.
